HAIR GROWTH CYCLE
There are 3 main phases in the growth cycle of hair:
When these three stages are in perfect balance, we normally shed between 50 and 100 hairs every day.
When the growth period (ANAGEN) and the shedding period (TELOGEN) are not in perfect balance, it is possible to experience thinner, sparse and more fragile hair.
Factors such as:
- INFLAMMATION OF THE SCALP
- UNBALANCED DIET
- GENETIC PREDISPOSITION
- HORMONAL UNBALANCE
may influence and upset this balance.
On the other hand, more significant causes of thinner, sparse and more fragile hair may occur if:
After the shedding phase there is no new follicle to start a new growth cycle. The shedding phase lasts longer than 3 months.
